City of Tulare Cartmill Avenue Grade Separation

City of Tulare’s Cartmill Avenue Grade Separation: $12.3 million project included a new bridge over the UPRR, the removal and replacement of Cartmill Avenue, widening of J Street, street signals and street lighting, water pipelines, storm drain pipelines and basins, storm drain pump station, sewer facilities, and pipe boring under the railroad tracks. Services included resident engineering and inspection; coordination meetings with UPRR and AT&T utility company to identify utility locations and obtain authorization for revisions within the railroad right-of-way; contract administration, construction inspection, SWPPP inspection and plan review, scheduling, oversight of construction staking and materials sampling and testing, utility relocations, railroad coordination, and permit compliance monitoring. 2013 ASCE, Fresno Branch, Outstanding Structural Project of the Year.
