Alta Environmental now NV5 is a full-service consulting firm specializing in subsurface remediation, air quality, building sciences, sustainability, water resources, and environmental health and safety compliance services. Acquired in May 2019 by NV5 Global, a publicly-traded company specializing in technical and engineering services, Alta Environmental DBA NV5 now offers expanded services to its clients while sustaining its commitment to quality reports and services.

NV5 is comprised of distinguished environmental engineers and professionals whose collective track record features decades of proven, budget-minded solutions to a full range of environmental and engineering needs. We are focused on providing high-level strategic and cost-effective solutions — both short- and long-term — for industrial, commercial, and government clients.

NV5|Alta Environmental Sustainability Policy: We believe that sustainable design principles are a necessity not a luxury. We believe that sustainable design practices can optimize infrastructure and challenge traditional code compliance design approaches. We believe that sustainable design can reduce projects construction costs.

Today, posterity demands that every project be innovative. Environmentally responsible growth means doing it better than the last project not just like the last project. At NV5, we were early adopters we’ve believed in sustainable design long before it was hip to be “green” or required by the likes of  CalGREEN  or EPA WaterSense®. We began researching and practicing sustainable design principles as they relate to infrastructure in the late 1990s. In 2004 we published our first  Sustainable Design Guide  as a testament to our belief that our everyday design decisions have incremental, yet profound, effects on the environments where we live and work. Many of NV5’s employees are LEED Accredited Professionals.
