NV5’s Wind Turbine Foundation Design Services

Wind turbine foundation design is a highly specialized and unique expertise that NV5 offers through our Orlando team. The NV5 foundation design team has designed more than 700 new wind foundations in the past four years. In addition, the design team has evaluated operating wind turbine foundations for more than 1,500 existing foundations for re-powering to extend their life span to an additional 20 years. The design team also has been involved in wind turbine foundation monitoring where the exiting foundations are instrumented with strain gauges, inclinometers, and displacement sensors to evaluate the serviceability criteria and recommend a remediation solution, if needed.
