Construction of this new LEED Gold middle school was made possible through the BEST Grant Program and a supportive community that passed a bond to meet the match requirements of the grant.
The new facility incorporates space for the district’s preschool program and has effectively become the new community center. The “L” shaped facility was formed around the existing occupied middle school and constructed in such close proximity — at times just eight feet away — without ever impacting the active school program or any extracurricular activities.
NV5 catered procurement processes to specifically target local contractors and labor. The effort resulted in the allocation of numerous local resources to the project including subcontractors, food services, and labor.
