What do you like most about your job?
The most important thing that I like is the people around me and the atmosphere. I couldn’t be more happy working with such wonderful individuals. I went from driving a truck in the field to driving a desk in the office and with that transition it still holds true that no day is truly the same because each project is unique. I love seeing a project through from start to finish.
What’s your favorite work location?
I have a few that come to mind. One, was taking a 4 hour ferry ride on Lake Chelan to get to Stehekin, Wa for several days; another was spending 16 days in the heart of Colorado starting in Steamboat Springs then traveling south through Breckenridge to Durango then back north through Telluride, Silverton, and Ouray then back north to Steamboat Springs! Lastly, I loved the Florida Keys! I have never been to a tropical place before and never thought I would say I want to go back. Well, I wouldn’t mind going back.
What type of project is your favorite?
I am a water and river person so I enjoy projects along scenic rivers and lakes. I must say that I enjoy river Topobathy projects the most.
When not working, what do you like to do?
I like to save my belly button lint and store my daughters boogers in a mason jar. Occasionally I enter in food eating contests, and I recently came across time traveling which is one of my new favorite hobbies.
In addition to the aforementioned, I also like to raise “hell on wheels,” my daughter Ellouise, and I enjoy fishing for the wonderful ocean and river species in the Pacific Northwest. You might also find me at a local pub as the 12.5% Irish in me favors a good time. Cheers!
