Quantum Spatial General Manager and Spatial Analytics Expert to Present at Utility Analytics Week

During November 1 Session, Matt Boyd Will Detail How to Use Spatial Analytics to Manage Risk, Reliability and Compliance

Quantum Spatial, Inc., the nation’s largest independent geospatial analytics firm, today announced that Matt Boyd, the company’s general manager of Private Markets and chief innovation officer, will be a featured presenter at the fifth annual Utility Analytics Week, taking place this week at the Loews Atlanta. Boyd, a nationally recognized expert on spatial analytics, will explain how analysis of structured and unstructured data can be used to manage risk, reliability, safety and compliance.

With more than 16 years of experience in airborne sensor technologies and data acquisition for multiscale projects, Boyd has been at the forefront of integrating remote sensing, computer vision and machine learning to develop spatial analytics for a wide variety of industries, including utilities.

During his Utility Analytics Week presentation, which is scheduled for Tuesday, November 1 at 4 p.m., Boyd will explain how a wide variety of data – including 3D, vector and scalar – combined with geospatial analytics, machine learning and statistics are used by utilities to develop business processes that improve safety, mitigate risk, and improve reliability and compliance. He also will show how utilities can leverage descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics to manage risk.

In its fifth year, Utility Analytics Week is unique event created for utility professionals, backed by the Utility Analytics Institute, which will bring together business leaders from around the world.
