Committed to ensuring excellence across a wide range of disciplines and arts, UCLA is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art teaching and learning environments. To support that initiative, the Northwest Campus Auditorium underwent a 15,000 SF renovation and upgrade to accommodate more sophisticated, leading-edge events. This space is ideal for forums, theatrical performances, and talent showcases.
Equipped with an advanced audiovisual system, the intimate 350-seat multi-purpose space has wide capabilities and can easily accommodate the varying needs of hosting lecture/panel discussions, stage productions, concerts, multimedia presentation, dance/movement performances, amplified music performance and movie screenings. The theatre includes video and control systems, production monitoring and communication, theatrical rigging and stage equipment.
An upgraded lighting system offers flexibility for a variety of performances and events. The design includes improvements to all system components, including electrical, dimming, instrumentation, load circuit distribution, and control. House lighting consists of LED source recessed adjustable accent down lights. This LED system is in accordance with lighting standards for classroom use as well as theatrical performance.
The audio and video systems function within the architectural and acoustical character of the space while meeting the multifunctional needs of the venue. The space supports both simple applications with minimal source inputs, but also complex applications with flexible signal routing. All updates and renovations accommodate a wide range of live audio and video.
