Projects

Bridgeport Village & PacTrust Business Center

NV5 has supported Washington County with ongoing methane monitoring and regulatory reporting for both the Bridgeport Village and PacTrust Business Center sites for several years. At the Bridgeport Village site, NV5 has assisted the County with routine methane monitoring; extraction system monitoring, maintenance and optimization; 24-hour methane alarm responses; methane sensor testing and replacement; and methane panel battery testing. During tenant improvements at Bridgeport Village, NV5 has overseen repairs to the methane mitigation systems installed under all the buildings at the shopping center. NV5 has been the primary liaison between the property owner and the regulatory authority.

NV5 and the County have collected an abundance of monitoring data that demonstrate the engineering controls at the site are effectively preventing methane from migrating into structures. NV5 successfully used this dataset to negotiate a reduction in the number of monitoring points requiring testing and the frequency of monitoring events with the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), saving costs.

In addition, at the PacTrust Business Center, NV5 advocated for a pragmatic monitoring approach to demonstrate protectiveness, which has resulted in reduced monitoring costs for the County. NV5 continues to strive to identify measures that will reduce costs associated with these projects while maintaining public safety.
