Upper Arlington City School District is transforming their learning landscape to take a leadership position in education. Students in kindergarten through grade 12 are supported in new and renovated facilities capable of accommodating evolving educational technology.
The new 856K SF Upper Arlington High School campus engages students in modern spaces with advanced technologies. Learning studios are equipped with mobile flat panel displays with wireless BYOD device sharing capabilities. Small group huddle areas allow students to disperse from larger groups into breakout spaces to accommodate individual learning needs. The Performing Arts Theater includes advanced technologies such as high definition video projectors, digital mixing console, flat panel displays, full range audio reinforcement speaker system, and media rich video audio capture capabilities. The black box/ multipurpose theater accommodates large-group presentations. Other spaces include a dining commons, competition gymnasium, natatorium, and three stadiums.
The new 74K SF Wickliffe Elementary and Windermere Elementary were designed to be identical to one with an adaptable infrastructure to accommodate the growing school district. Conference rooms, huddle spaces, and studios are outfitted with BYOD device sharing to flat panel displays, enabling group collaboration. The “gymnatorium” provides a flexible space to host large-group presentations, performances, and recreational activities. Renovations to Barrington Elementary (102K SF), Tremont Elementary (52.7K SF), and Greensview Elementary (76K SF) update existing facilities to reflect the school district’s master plan.
District-wide building systems include a central sound system and digital signage system for public information display. Physical security systems include access control and surveillance video.
