Columbia County Public Schools sought the redesign and redevelopment of the existing Niblack Elementary School and its corresponding ±22-acre parcel. The design consists of a 64,333 sq ft, two story school with a cafeteria, support spaces, enhanced drop-off and pick-up, parking, utilities, and stormwater management facilities.
NV5 performed a boundary and topographic survey of the property, and is providing schematic design services, cost estimating, construction documents, construction administration, traffic studies, site wetland permitting, and mitigation to support the project.
The project is being designed on an accelerated time frame to have the new school constructed by the start of the 2025-2026 school year. Design phase services commenced in January of 2024 and construction began in June 2024.
