NV5 Employees Gear Up for CASQA Conference

Our Water Resources Team is busy preparing for the 2019 California Stormwater Quality Association (CASQA) Annual Conference taking place at the Monterey Conference Center October 7th through the 9th. Each year the conference draws leading members of the stormwater community including local, state, and federal decision makers, stormwater program coordinators, contractors, consultants, engineers, lawyers, scientists, and planners.

Vice President of Water Resources Dave Renfrew and Project Managers Garth Engelhorn and Matt Renaud are members of a Training Workshop titled “Stormwater Sampling Methodologies: A Primer for All QSPs, QISPs, and Municipal Staff” to help attendees remain compliant with the CGP, IGP, and Phase I and II MS4 Permits. Stormwater technicians Bridgette Reddington will present a poster on “Not Just Any Ordinary Sample; What You Need to Know Before Sampling PFAS” and Austin Kay will present his poster titled “Data Collection Tools to Assess Post-Wildfire Impacts at a Watershed Level: An Approach Using Drones and Geospatial Techniques.” In addition, Garth Engelhorn will act as a supporting speaker for “Post-Fire Debris Flows are Expected, Communities are Evacuating, and it’s Time to Sample Because That’s What We Do! Key Takeaways from Evaluating Contaminant Flux of the 2018 Holy Fire” with Rebekah Guill of the Riverside County Flood Control and Water Conservation District.

All NV5 speakers/authors can be contacted through the email links above. We look forward to seeing you in Monterey!
