A Unique Process to maintain Your laboratory Accreditation!

Laboratory audits remain an important process for maintaining mission-critical accreditation. However, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, laboratories may be hesitant to allow external auditors into their labs. To address this quandary, we have developed a solution to protect our clients while keeping them compliant. Remote audits are an effective way to ensure the safety of employees and that your laboratory complies with The NELAC Institute (TNI) and ISO 17025 Accrediting Bodies (ABs).

Remote laboratory audits are a smart and effective way to remain compliant while keeping your employees safe.

Remote Audits Eliminate the Threat of a Regulatory Violation During the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Failure to comply with TNI states and ISO 17025 Accrediting Bodies’ biennial assessment requirement could lead to a notice of violation and potential fines. Facilities have continuously maintained their accreditation status with our help, and with COVID-19 restrictions or not, accredited labs are required to have a biennial assessment. Therefore, NV5 custom-crafted a unique process that keeps you safe and helps your lab maintain accreditation status.

NV5’s remote auditing service is a confidential process that is safe and effective.

How Do Virtual Audits Work?

A virtual audit is very similar to an in-person, on-site evaluation. Our friendly and knowledgeable auditors will guide you through the virtual assessments process.

  • A virtual kick-off meeting will outline the agenda, timing, and scope.
  • Auditors will work with you to ensure that the right technology is in place.
  • Documents and data will be requested and reviewed before the audit.
    1. Discussion on the process for reviewing confidential data.
  • The laboratory tasks and operations are streamed via mobile devices so that the assessor can observe laboratory operations such as plating of micro samples, chemical separations, etc.
  • A written findings report with the required timeline for corrections will be provided following the audit’s conclusion.

Remote audits are a secure, efficient, and effective way meet your certification requirements and to keep your license compliant, especially during the COVID pandemic.
