Gary Clark Shares Wildfire Mitigation Expertise Alongside CalFire and Cal OES

Delivering solutions and improving lives in the 1st quarter of 2020,  NV5 Vice President Gary Clark (bio here) joined the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce’s 2020 Leadership Delegation Trip to Sacramento as an invited attendee and speaker to share NV5’s expertise on the “Addressing California’s Wildfire Challenges” panel. The panel, held February 25, was moderated by Mitch Mitchell, Vice President of San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), and also included Mark Ghilarducci, Director, California Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES), and Chief Thom Porter, Director, CalFire. Specifically, Gary shared with the 100 delegates NV5’s experience regarding new technology approaches to fire hardening, wildfire mitigation, and grid resiliency — important issues of concern in San Diego and across the state. Also attending the Chamber’s Leadership Delegation Trip to Sacramento was Lisa Kay, NV5 Chief Operating Officer, Environmental Health Sciences, and member of the Chamber’s Board of Directors and Chair of the Public Policy Committee.
