The annual International District Energy Association is being held Feb 10-14 in Denver, Colorado. The annual conference brings together professionals in district energy, combined heat and power, campus utilities, and microgrid industries. The conference has earned a reputation for exceptional technical information through presentations, peer exchanges and open dialogue. NV5’s own Matt Wolf is collaborating with Jared Satrom from the University of Minnesota to give a presentation titled “Trigeneration at the University of Minnesota – Installation of a Modern Absorption Chiller and Dispatching Strategies”. The presentation will discuss the decision for using an absorption chiller, the installation of the chiller, control strategies for the university, the CO2 footprint reduction, and lessons learned.
