The Zofnass Program at Harvard University has appointed NV5’s CEO, Dickerson Wright, to the Sustainable Infrastructure Advisory Board (SIAB). Founded in 2008, the Zofnass Program is focused on the development, methods, processes, and tools that quantify sustainability for infrastructure. Its goal is to facilitate the adoption of sustainable solutions for infrastructure projects, and expand the body of knowledge for sustainable infrastructure.
Laura Bonich, P.E. LEED AP, Vice President of Sustainable Development will also serve as a corporate representative of NV5 on the Board. Laura has significant experience in the USGBC LEED certification process, making her an invaluable asset to the Advisory team. Currently, Laura serves on the Technical Advisory Committee for the Institute of Sustainable Infrastructure’s Envision rating system and chairs the subcommittee responsible for the Leadership and Climate Resilience Credits. Laura is past President of the Central Valley branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers, and vice-chair of the Urban Land Institute’s Community Development Council (Silver).
“NV5’s participation on the SIAB at Harvard emphasizes our ongoing commitment to the engineering profession” said Dickerson Wright, “it promotes the use of innovative best practices for infrastructure rather than a traditional code compliance design approach, expanding on practical applications of sustainability in the design of infrastructure” he added.
