CODE is an innovative retail and office development featuring flexible alternatives for early-stage technology startups and shared co-working spaces. It offers tenants high-end amenities, meeting spaces of various sizes, and a 225-seat auditorium with surround sound and a large LED screen. Additional services include a fitness center with multiple displays and sound system, electric car charging, food & beverage service, a lobby concierge, and a podcast recording studio. In addition to a public courtyard with an amphitheater for outdoor events, each floor offers green roof terraces for outdoor working and socializing.
A robust and flexible infrastructure supports diverse leaseholders. The high-definition video distribution and digital signage system broadcasts custom content throughout the entire facility, and a sophisticated metacontrol system enables enhanced monitoring and energy management of virtually all audiovisual and associated systems. Intelligent building systems and technologies increase fresh air and provide finely-tuned environmental controls.
The integrated security system and visitor management system allows the scaling of tenants and each tenant’s unique requirements. Systems include a visitor management system that uses QR codes on visitor badges to restrict non-employees to the floor that they have permission to visit.
In addition to a wide variety of full-building systems, NV5 also designed the technology for the fit-out of the 9th floor penthouse and headquarters of Quantitative Investment Management. It includes customized features and specialized systems for the executive suite boardroom, meeting rooms, offices, and more.
The data center was designed to support this 167,000 SF facility. NV5 planned and designed the data center to serve as the main point of presence and support multiple service providers to deliver connectivity to multiple cloud providers for full redundancy and diversity for tenants. A robust network design was implemented throughout the building including parallel core equipment and servers deployed in the data center. Efficient cooling, specialized fire protection requirements, and backup power needs were coordinated with the design team to ensure maximum uptime and efficient operations.
