This three-level, 15,000 sf historic structure was scanned using NavVis VLX 3 for interior capture and DJI Mavic 3E for aerial documentation. NV5 performed both interior and exterior scanning, producing a point cloud, virtual tour, and drone imagery to support architectural planning and documentation. The scans were intended to verify existing drawings and provide accurate spatial data for ongoing design and assessment work.
The building—originally constructed in 1903 as the First Baptist Church—is a complex Victorian Romanesque structure with a vaulted sanctuary, multiple towers, and a recently renovated roof and foundation. Its adaptive reuse has involved significant upgrades, including structural reinforcement, accessibility improvements, and infrastructure for future public use. NV5’s work contributed to a broader due diligence effort by the City to evaluate the building’s readiness for civic programming and long-term preservation.
