Projects

Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) Hazardous Material Business Plan (HMBP)

NV5 performed a site visit and took an inventory of hazardous material and/or hazardous waste of quantities exceeding the applicable thresholds. A site map of the facility was developed indicating the following information:

  • Chemical storage
  • Internal roads
  • Storm and sewer drains
  • Locations and names of adjacent streets and alleys
  • Access and egress points and roads
  • Primary and alternate evacuation routes
  • Emergency shutoffs
  • Staging areas
  • Location of emergency response equipment

NV5 also developed Emergency Response/Contingency Plans for the site after the client provided information on emergency containment and cleanup procedures, as well as existing emergency equipment.  The Emergency Response Plan was then submitted to Certified Unified Program Agencies (CUPA) along with the chemical inventory and site maps on California Environmental Reporting System (CERS).
