NV5 performed four multi-year task order contracts with New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) involving various hydrologic and hydraulic services, which included study and design of stormwater collection and control facilities; design of drainage piping systems for capacity and inlet spread; and water quantity and quality facilities such as extended detention basins, recharge basins/swales, stormwater wetlands, wet ponds, grass-lined swales, sand filter chambers, and other certified treatment devices. Work involved detailed hydrologic and hydraulic studies for bridge and culvert replacements (HEC-RAS software) for scour analysis and regulatory compliance; hydrologic analysis for intersection improvements and associated highway design elements; innovative stream stabilization measures; groundwater mounding analyses (MODFLOW) for infiltration basins; and preparation of Flood Hazard Area Permit applications, freshwater wetlands, and pinelands approvals. Tasks also included the preparation of final design and construction documents, including plans, specifications, and estimates.
