The UCF Interdisciplinary Research Incubator Facility is a two-phase, three-story building comprised mainly of flexible research and incubator wet lab space to support activities in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Engineering, Optics, and Material Science.
This facility also provides an environment that encourages interaction among various disciplines and tenants.
The design provides unifying spaces with conference, meeting, and informal gathering (collision) spaces that are located such that interdisciplinary interaction occurs easily.
The facility includes support spaces for administration, faculty, entrepreneur, and graduate student offices, storage, and utility spaces. NV5 provided civil engineering services, supplying comprehensive plans and renderings, as well as surveying and mapping.
